Hesperia lost to rival Holton in Friday's district semifinal game, 9-1.
The
Red Devils scored twice in the second inning and three more times in
the third to build a lead too big for the Panthers to overcome.
Hesperia
made six errors in the game, which led to seven unearned runs by
Holton. Daylen Castillo allowed two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings,
striking out five.
Dominick Rivera got two hits for Hesperia and drove in the team's only run. Evan Conkle walked and scored a run.
