Montague battled to the end against Fremont Tuesday in West Michigan Conference Lakes action, forcing a decisive game five, but the Packers came away with the win, 20-25, 25-16, 25-13, 17-25, 15-9.
Annelyse Schneider had a big night defensively for Montague, totaling 25 digs and five blocks. She also had 14 service points.
Ava Dean led the Wildcats (2-13-5, 0-2 WMC Lakes) with 34 digs and 18 service points, and Layla Denhof had 22 to go with her 30 assists. On offense, Ellee Smith totaled nine kills and Hallie VanTuyl added seven.
