Shelby wrestling takes 5th at Hopkins Invite

Shelby finished fifth at Saturday's Hopkins Invitational, led by stars Brody Fessenden and Cesar Cadena.
Fessenden and Cadena each finished in first place at their weight classes.
Cadena pinned all four of his opponents at 120 pounds, taking down Delton Kellogg's Kayle McLellan in the finals. Three of his four pins came before the end of the second period.
Fessenden won all four of his matches at 157 pounds and scored bonus points in each one. He scored two pins on the day, including against Thornapple Kellogg's Griffin Grummet in the finals.
The Tigers also had two third-placers. Alden Beyer went 4-1 at 106, rallying from a first-round defeat to pin three of his four remaining opponents in the first period. Jaylin Henderson picked up a third-place finish at 165 going 4-1 with three wins by pin and one by technical fall. Only a three-point decision loss to Thornapple Kellogg's Blake Bossenberger kept Henderson from the title match.
Max Hagstrom and Colin Fenton wrestled in the B team division at 190 and 215 respectively, and each finished second. Hagstrom went 4-1 with four pin victories, and Fenton scored four wins by pin.
