Shelby topped Hesperia 59-45 Friday night in a county showdown, fueled by a huge early lead.
The
Tigers jumped out to a 16-1 lead to start the game, and though Hesperia
played better after that, getting as close as seven points, Shelby was
able to close the game out.
DayDay Garcia led the Tigers with 21 points, and Leighton Belasco added 1. Malakai Sellers had 16 points for the Panthers.
