Circa 1889 – Covell Block on the north side of Colby Street between the alley and Mears Avenue. At the time it contained (L) Reed’s Clothing, (M) G. C. Funk Tailor, F. P. Mangold Jewelry, and (R) W. B. Conley’s Whitehall Drugs. The Masonic Temple had facilities on the second floor. The building was destroyed on 18 September 1890 when the second major fire visited the area. Courtesy Photo
