Montague closed its regular season by going 2-0 at a home tri meet Thursday, defeating Mason County Eastern 25-18, 25-13 and knocking off Shelby 25-21, 25-21.
The match against MCE included a celebration of Annelyse Schneider's 200th career block. Schneider had four blocks on the night and also had 20 digs and nine kills, ranking second on the team in both categories.
Hallie VanTuyl posted 11 kills for Montague (9-27-5) - she hit .438 against MCE - and Kaitlyn Leatherman notched 33 digs, 23 service points and eight aces, seven of which came in the MCE match. Ellee Smith posted six kills and hit .429 against Shelby. Layla Denhof racked up 33 assists.
