Shelby girls cross finishes 2nd, highlights county efforts at Mason Co. Central jamboree

Shelby's girls team took second place to highlight county efforts at the Mason County Central jamboree Tuesday. In the boys' race, Shelby placed fifth with Hesperia in sixth place.
The Tiger girls recorded three top-10 finishes in the race, with Lydia Soelberg, Noel Parker and Kathryn Beyer placing fourth through sixth consecutively. Soelberg's time was 21:12.3, followed by Parker at 21:49.8 and Beyer at 22:21.3. Soelberg's time was her season best.
Also for Shelby, Ava Lamberg finished in 19th place (26:51.6), closely followed by Michelle Peterson in 20th (26:55.7).
Hesperia had four finishers in the girls' race, led by Rokhaya Ruhstorfer in 18th place with a season best time(26:09.9). Chloie Cryderman was 35th (34:00.1), Taylor Leeball was 37th (34:55.4) and Sarah Funk finished 38th (43:51.1).
Parker Weirich led county finishers in the boys' race, finishing fourth for Shelby (17:32.9). Brycen Brown joined him in the top 10, placing seventh (17:46.3). Jaciel Moreno took 27th place (20:31.0), and Emilio Bustos (41st, 22:46.1) and Jackson Sines (42nd, 23:25.1) also scored for the Tigers.
Onyx Davila paced Hesperia with a 15th-place finish (19:04.9), and Andy Lopez-Garcia was 16th, setting a season best (19:23.8). Tony Lopez-Garcia also set a season best and finished 31st (20:59.6). Zed Bierman was 33rd (21:54.1) and Drea Slosman took 37th (22:30.6).
