Whitehall High School is set to celebrate its homecoming next week with a series of events leading to the crowning of royalty during Friday's football game against Hart and the homecoming dance the following night.
This year's homecoming theme is fairy tales, and each class will compete to produce the best float that fits the theme. The winner of that competition will also be announced Friday night.
Student dress-up days will begin Monday with Jersey Day, followed by Pajama Day Tuesday, Dynamic Duo Day Wednesday, Fairy Tale Day Thursday and Viking Colors Day Friday. Friday will also include a pep assembly at the end of the school day at 12:30 p.m. and the homecoming parade at 5:30 p.m., starting and ending at the Viking Athletic Center.
The homecoming dance will take place Saturday, Oct. 3 from 8-11 p.m. at the high school's Viking Center.
