Reeths-Puffer was on its way to another tie against state power Byron Center Tuesday night until the final 12 minutes, when the visiting Bulldogs took over and scored twice to knock off the Rockets, 3-1.
The loss knocked the Rockets to 4-2-1 in the O-K Green Conference and 5-4-3 overall.
"It was a great 68 minutes and then we lost ourselves in the final 12 minutes," R-P coach Kody Harrell said on the team's social media accounts. "We move forward and grow."
London Carpenter scored the Rockets' lone goal, assisted by Evan McHugh. Harrell said that Jax Sieplinga sparked the goal by stealing the ball from Byron Center.
