It was a long night for Hart Friday night, as the visiting Oakridge Eagles dominated from the opening whistle and dispatched the Pirates 41-0. "Oakridge came in tonight and earned it," Hart coach Joe Tanis posted to the team's Facebook page. "They were physical, disciplined, and took advantage of their opportunities, and we did not play well enough to give ourselves a chance." Oakridge scored touchdowns on its first three possessions. An early fourth-down conversion by the Eagles helped propel them to a 10-play scoring drive, and the next two Hart drives ended with a six-yard punt and a fourth-down stop by Oakridge, both setting up short fields. Hart managed just 58 total offensive yards in the game and was 0-for-10 on third down. Sawyer Boos led Hart (2-2, 1-2 West Michigan Conference Lakes) with 34 offensive yards - 26 through the air and eight on the ground. Haegan Hansen and Wyatt Johnson each had six solo tackles, and Hansen and Jordan Thies each recovered a fumble.
