Reeths-Puffer finished fourth at Friday's Fruitport Quad, but did
score seven team points, two fewer than the host Trojans, who took
third.
All seven points came from Rockets' singles players.
Their top two players, Henrik Ketner and Roman Ponce, each won twice in
straight sets. Both players nearly earned 3-0 marks but dropped
three-set battles against North Muskegon opponents. Ponce came
particularly close to a third win, extending the Norsemen's Bobby Gaston
past the usual 10 points in the third-set tiebreaker before falling
6-4, 5-7, 12-10.
Cameron Mock won all three of his matches at No. 4 singles, with two coming by default. He also won a match in straight sets.
