WLASA hosting its annual Fish Boil Aug. 15

The White Lake Area Sportfishing Association will host its 43rd annual Bill Gillan Memorial Fish Boil Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Montague Bandshell.
The event, taking place from 4-8 p.m., is the WLASA's biggest fundraising event each year. The organization works with the state Department of Natural Resources, raising walleyes to help restore the fishery in area lakes.
Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 for adults, $8 for kids ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under eat for free. Payment can be made via cash or check.
Dinners include boiled fish (salmon or trout), onions, potatoes, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and a dinner roll with butter. Coffee and water are also provided, and ice cream and pop are available for sale.
In addition to the food, $5 raffle tickets get attendees' names in the running for various prizes, including a kayak and a voyage aboard a fishing charter.
