Whitehall track teams pick up sweeps at Orchard View Tri

Whitehall's teams both beat Orchard View Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference Lakes meet, and the Vikings also beat Muskegon Heights, who participated in the meet as well.
The Viking boys rolled to a 107-30 win and blanked Muskegon Heights 137-0, and the girls beat Orchard View 56-51 and Muskegon Heights 78-15.
Caden Bowyer, Hunter Parsons and Judd Musk were the Viking boys' two-time winners. Bowyer swept the throws, scoring marks of 148-8 in the discus and 48-3 in the shot put. Parsons won the 800-meter run and set a personal best (2:11.1) and also won the 3,200 (11:31.3). Musk won both hurdles events, with times of 16.11 seconds in the 110hurdles and 46.37 in the 300 hurdles.
Also for Whitehall, Tim Vieira won the 200 (23.78) and Jevon Hilliard won the 400 (52.80). Rex Pumford won the 1,600 (4:51.5), Jake Lewis won the high jump (5-8), Cole Essebaggers set a personal best in long jump in a win (21-0) and Graysen Olstrom won the pole vault (12-0).
The boys' team also won both distance relays. The team of Hilliard, Pumford, Javi LeBlanc and Vieira won the 1,600 (4:11.4) and Ian Dennis, Parsons, Raymond Hesse and Hilliard won the 3,200 9:25.7).
Aaliyah Jamison and Giselle Burbridge each won two events for the girls. Jamison swept the throws with marks of 90-4 in the discus and 32-4 in the shot put. Burbridge set personal bests in both her wins, in the long jump (15-5.5) and in the 800 (2:56.7). Lexi Poulin won the high jump (4-6) and Morgan Wade set a personal best to win the 100 (13.95).
The Viking girls also won the 3,200 relay with the team of Lena Volpert, Ryanne Ellsworth, Izzy Hesse and Lily Britton (15:09.7).
