Whitehall pitching dominated Tuesday's West Michigan Conference
Lakes doubleheader against Orchard View, as the Vikings won games 16-0
and 10-0.
Game one only lasted three innings thanks to a
14-run second inning. Brayden Kelley pitched a three-inning one-hitter,
striking out eight. Justin Jensen had a two-run double and Jaxon Kulesza
had a RBI double, among several Viking hits in the 14-run second.
Evan Thomas and Ethan Deshong each had two hits in the game, and Thomas drove in three runs.
Thomas
and Cody Manzo combined on a one-hit five-inning shutout in game two,
with Thomas handling 3 1/3 innings and striking out eight while Manzo
pitched 1 2/3 innings and fanned two. Noah Morse had a huge game at the
plate with three hits, including a double, and five RBI. Noah Peterson
also had three hits, and Max Krukowski had two.
