Shelby baseball drops 10-inning game during doubleheader loss to Whitehall

Shelby dropped a doubleheader at Whitehall Wednesday, 8-2 and 7-6, as it looked to stay sharp for the postseason.
As the Vikings did not have a conference doubleheader this week, they threw their top pitchers against Shelby, which the Tigers did not have the luxury of doing.
Shelby took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Evan Waller got a RBI double and Chase Simon followed with a RBI single, but Shelby only got two more hits in the game after that.
Waller had two hits in the game. Michael Regeczi gave up two hits and a run in two innings of work.
Game two went 10 innings before the Vikings got the win after Shelby rallied to tie the game 5-5 in the seventh. The Tigers got the first three batters of the seventh on base and played effective small ball to get them all home.
DayDay Garcia had three hits for the Tigers and scored twice. Eli Kelley allowed two earned runs in six innings and struck out five.
