Hart softball splits 2 games at St. Louis tournament

Hart split two games at Saturday's St. Louis tournament, beating Fulton 14-4 and falling 15-7 to St. Louis.
The Pirates' first three hitters in the batting order each got two hits in the win over Fulton. Makenna Carrier, Caydence Bateson and Reese Smith each got a pair of hits and combined for eight runs. Leah Walker led the way with three hits. Elyssa Tanis got the win, striking out three.
In the loss to the Sharks, Smith hit a solo home run, got three hits and drove in four runs. However, Paige Luneack knocked a pair of homers for the Sharks, and Hart made nine errors that led to 10 unearned runs.
