Hart lost a suspended game against Mason County Central Monday, 5-4, and dropped a second game to the Spartans, 14-7.
The
suspended game had been through three innings when it began in April
before it was suspended due to storms in the area. That one counted
towards West Michigan Conference Rivers standings, while the second one
did not.
The Pirates grabbed a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning
when Joseph Osorio lashed a two-run double, but MCC quickly struck back,
collecting three hits in the bottom of the seventh to take the win.
MCC
dominated early in the full game played Monday, taking an 8-0 lead in
the third inning. Osorio got two hits and walked twice, and Halen Boos
ripped a triple. Jordan Thies got a hit and drew three walks.
