Hart took its first West Michigan Conference Lakes defeat of the season Tuesday night at Fremont, losing to the Packers 25-16, 20-25, 25-8, 25-23.
"The girls played hard, but just could not get over the hump and keep any kind of momentum," Hart coach Shawn Bectel said.
Alayna Schiller led the Pirate defense with 44 digs on the night, and Reese Smith had 26 digs. Mya Hovey had three blocks at the net.
On offense, Calyn Eisenlohr and Grace Tucker had 17 and 16 assists respectively, and Smith totaled 15 kills. The Pirates (16-8-3, 2-1 WMC Lakes) only made four service errors, but Fremont was strong on serve receive and limited them to three aces.
