Hart locked up at least fourth place in the West Michigan Conference Wednesday with a 6-0 win over Orchard View Wednesday night.
The Pirates did not allow a single shot in the game thanks to a dominant defensive effort. Coach Joe Gilbert said the (at minimum) fourth-place finish will be Hart’s best finish in the WMC “in a long time.”
Rilynn Porter scored three goals and had an assist in the win. Addison Barefoot scored twice - including one of the quickest goals in Hart history, 22 seconds after the opening kickoff - and had an assist. Natalie Rosema got on the board too, and Olivia Bradley had two assists.
