Hart baseball splits pitchers' duels with Western Michigan Christian

Hart split a low-scoring pair of pitchers' duels with Western Michigan Christian Wednesday. The Pirates won game two 3-0 after a 1-0 defeat in game one.
The Pirates jumped ahead in the first inning of game two when Halen Boos scored on a wild pitch. Joseph Osorio lashed a run-scoring double in the sixth, and the Pirates added another run on an error. Mason Guikema got the win, allowing only one hit in four innings while striking out seven, and Aiden Cull picked up the save with two one-hit innings and four strikeouts.
Warriors' star pitcher Carson Reed stifled Hart's bats in game one, throwing a three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts. Cull took a tough-luck loss, throwing five strong innings and allowing one run on six hits. He struck out five.
