Hart and Hesperia jumped past Shelby for third and fourth place
respectively at Monday's Ravenna Jamboree, though the Tigers maintain a
slim lead in the West Michigan Conference Rivers race.
Coach
Fred Inglis said Shelby is still ahead of Ravenna, which took second to
North Muskegon in Monday's jamboree, by one stroke after the event.
Titan
Carter tied for the honor of top scorer in the jamboree, shooting
two-over par 38. He had seven pars and two bogeys in the round.
Hart,
though, topped county schools by placing third with a team score of
186. Logan Dean led the Pirates in scoring with a 45, and Hunter
Loudermilk shot a 46. Joel Knobel carded a 47 and Wyatt Johnson had a
48.
Hesperia finished fourth with a team score of 194. Alex
Scott had a strong day for the Panthers, finishing fourth overall with a
42, including a stretch of four straight pars. Logan Kammer had a 49
and Eli Edens shot a 51. Evan Fuentes' 52 rounded out Panther scoring.
The
Tigers' normally steady lineup struggled, by its standards, outside of
Titan Carter's medalist performance. Rafael Davis shot a 47 for Shelby
and Ivan Carter had a 50. Ryan Schouten and Andrew Arquette each shot a
62.
