Shelby scored a comeback win over Lakeview Tuesday night, 4-2, to move to 1-0-1 after two early-season games.
The Tigers previously tied Tri-County Monday night, 3-3.
Shelby trailed the Wildcats 2-0 before launching a furious comeback in the final 20 minutes. Kylee Hanson opened the Tigers' scoring with a goal from 18 yards out, and Kylie Brown followed with two scores. Annabelle Stark capped the victory by going top shelf late in the game.
Brixtyn Friedman recorded two assists for Shelby and Charlee Friedman had one. Shelby coach Joe Gorton credited Brylee Friedman with "some great saves" early in the game to keep the game close and allow for the comeback.
"I was excited
to see our response to the first half," Gorton said. "The girls were able to find
another gear, and keep getting after it. They responded great to our
halftime adjustments, and our second half was a sustained offensive
press."
