Shelby pulled out the tough plays it needed in the end to pick up a 48-43 win over White Cloud Wednesday night, improving its season record to 13-1.
The teams were tied at 34 going into the final quarter before Shelby eked out the win.
The Tigers struggled at the free throw line, going 4-of-11, but was great on the boards against the Indians, grabbing 34 rebounds to White Cloud's 20. Jayna Burmeister had 20 points and 15 boards to lead the Tigers, and also swiped four steals. Michelle Peterson and Annabelle Stark each scored 10 points; Stark also pulled in eight rebounds.
