Although Whitehall took first place Wednesday at the final West Michigan Conference Lakes jamboree of the season, in Ludington, Montague still clinched the conference title with its second-place finish.
The Vikings scored a 183 to edge Montague by five strokes for the jamboree win. Three Vikings earned top-5 finishes, led by Riley Shafer with a 41, good for second place. She made a birdie during her round. Kelsie McClure and Avarie Bentz each shot a 47, tying for fifth place. Ryleigh Hershey shot a 48 to close out Whitehall scoring.
For the back-to-back league champ Wildcats, Addi Smith shot a 43, and Marguerite O'Connell had a 44, including a birdie. Molly Mulder had a 51, and Brynlee Kessler shot a 52.
