Reeths-Puffer collected its second trophy in a four-day span Friday by winning its home invitational with a team score of 365 - 10 shots better than runner-up East Grand Rapids.
The Rockets didn't get their usual sub-80 score from star Sophia McCollum, but she still placed highly, along with Olivia Ambler. Both players shot an 85 and tied for fourth place individually. Ambler made two birdies during her round.
"Sophia is disappointed in her score, but she played a lot of really solid golf today," Rockets' coach Matt Pallett said. "There were just a few bad holes. Others stepped up today to help lead us to victory. Olivia Ambler has been playing some really good golf as of late."
Also for the Rockets, Ella Voorhies shot a 93, and Abby Davis rounded out team scoring with a 102. Tala Johnson was seeded No. 6 and could not count towards the team score but would have had she been seeded higher, as she shot a 99, a personal best for her.
