The long-standing KwikMart party store and gas station at the corner of 176th Avenue and Harrison Road in Walkerville has undergone a complete reconstruction and rebranding, a project that started in July of 2025. The newly branded Ten31 Stop officially opened the doors on its new building May 22, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
While work on the new building began a year ago, the idea and plans had been in the making for several years, according to Danielle Viening, who has owned the business with her husband Chad Viening since 2015.
“The cool part about it is my husband and I designed the building and as a builder himself, he was the general contractor,” Viening said. “Not only are we the owners/operators, but we were the ones who designed and built it.”
The new store and gas station not only includes more space and updated amenities, but a dining area, more food selections and a canopy for the gas pumps, something they never had before, Viening said. “We have gone back to our original pizza recipe and have an ice cream shop as well.”
The Ten31 Stop in Walkerville joins the company’s two other locations in Scottville and Luther. Viening added, “The name Ten31 Stop came from our Scottville location, which we really didn’t think would do as well as it has. As a result of that, we made the decision to start branding ourselves, so when people come to one of our stores, they know what they will get.”
The old KwikMart store was still used part-time after the new building opened as they waited for their liquor license. They were able to demolish the old store last month, thus making more room for logistics and visibility.
