The White Lake Golf Course will again host the PGA Drive, Chip & Putt local qualifier at its driving range Saturday, June 27. The deadline to sign up is 4 p.m. Monday, June 22.
No golf experience is required to participate, and registration is free.
The annual event, modeled after similar events in other sports such as Pitch, Hit & Run in baseball and Punt, Pass & Kick in football, allows kids ages 7-15 to test their skills in the three fundamental skills of golf. Each participant will attempt three drives, three chips and three putts.
The top three finishers in each age group advance to sub-regional qualifiers, which for WLGC participants will take place at Kalamazoo Country Club Saturday, Aug. 21.
