Muskegon County Airport selected to host maintenance facility

Denver Air Connection has selected Muskegon County Airport as the home of its northern regional maintenance operation, further strengthening the airline's commitment to reliable service and long-term growth throughout the Midwest.
The new maintenance facility will support regional maintenance teams based at Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Thief River Falls, Minnesota, providing enhanced operational support and improved responsiveness across the network.
The hangar, scheduled to be operational by Aug. 1, represents another milestone in Denver Air Connection’s growing partnership with Muskegon County Airport. The investment underscores the airline’s confidence in the airport’s infrastructure, workforce, and strategic location as it continues to expand service throughout the region.
“Muskegon offers the ideal combination of location, infrastructure, and aviation expertise to support our growing maintenance operation,” said Cliff Honeycutt, Chief Executive Officer of Denver Air Connection, in a press release. “This investment not only strengthens our ability to provide safe and reliable service across our northern network but also reflects our commitment to building lasting partnerships within the communities we serve. We’re excited to continue growing alongside Muskegon County Airport and contribute to the region’s thriving aviation industry.”
“This is exactly the type of aviation growth we’ve been working toward,” said airport director Ken Efting in the release. “Denver Air’s service is already critically important, but the long-term future of MKG also depends on building a strong aviation business environment around them. Bringing more high-demand, skilled aviation jobs to the airport reinforces that vision and creates real economic momentum for Muskegon County.”
Efting added that the expansion highlights the strategic advantages MKG offers aviation businesses, including available infrastructure, uncongested airspace, business-friendly operating conditions and direct access to local aviation suppliers and support services.
