Bobby Jazwinski notches another Whitehall record at New Balance Nationals; Mason Darke shines at Nike nationals

Soon-to-be senior Bobby Jazwinski continued his rewriting of the Whitehall distance running record book last week at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championship meet at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, setting a new school record in the 3,200-meter run.
Jazwinski had been pursuing the record, which stood for 48 years, all season, but finally was able to capture it with a time of 9:00.5 at the meet Friday. He placed 11th in the country in the event.
With the record, Jazwinski now holds all the long-distance records at Whitehall - the cross-country 5K record, the 1,600 and 3,200-meter individual record, and with teammates Jevon Hilliard, Rex Pumford and Javi LeBlanc, the 3,200 relay record.
Also on the national track and field scene, 2026 Reeths-Puffer graduate and Indiana State University signee Mason Darke comted at the Nike Outdoor National meet in Eugene, Oregon in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles, placing well in both. Darke finished 13th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.63 seconds, and was 14th in the 110 hurdles, lowering his personal best time - which is also the Rockets' school record - by finishing in 13.90 seconds.
