Whitehall softball outmatched by Fremont

Whitehall was outmatched Thursday by Fremont in West Michigan Conference Lakes play, losing a doubleheader 14-2 and 13-0.
The Vikings' only runs of the twinbill came in the fifth inning of game one and cut Fremont's lead to 5-2. Janie Fagan drove in a run on a sacrifice fly, followed by Ryleigh Smith's RBI single. The Packers struck back with six runs in the bottom of the inning.
Kayden Johnson got two hits in the opener.
Whitehall was limited to one hit in game two, by Beth LeaTrea. Fremont ace Kamryn Clark pitched the one-hit shutout.
