Whitehall and Montague battled against some good competition Monday
at the Ludington Invitational. The Vikings finished sixth out of 15
schools with a score of 355, with Montague in eighth, only five strokes
behind.
Whitehall's Jones McDowell and Montague's Michael
Flanagan were the top players in the area at the meet, each shooting an
85 to lead their respective teams. Each golfer made two birdies during
his round.
Gabe Gilbert added to the Vikings' score by
shooting an 88, closely followed by Dominic Puehler with a 90. William
Burger's 92 capped the team scoring.
For Montague, Ethan Balon shot an 89, Jonah Henderson had a 92 and Steven Aebig chipped in a 94.
