Montague routed Reeths-Puffer 11-1 Wednesday in a district tune-up game for both teams.
The
Wildcats started fast and rolled to the win, scoring nine times in the
first four innings. Cole Moss and Eli Petersen each got a RBI hit in the
first inning.
Dylan Bailey got three hits in all, and Petersen added two, with three RBI. Moss scored three times.
Petersen
and Caleb Rice teamed up to dominate on the mound, allowing five total
hits - Petersen surrendered one in three innings - and striking out
seven in all. Five Rockets got a hit each, and Brayden Meuwenberg drove
in the Rockets' only run.
