Montague baseball closes regular season by beating Muskegon Catholic

Montague exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning to turn a close game into a mercy-rule victory Wednesday, beating Muskegon Catholic 14-4 to close regular season play.
A RBI double by Dylan Bailey got the scoring started in the sixth, and after a barrage of hits and a couple of Crusader errors, Cole Moss ended the game with a two-run triple.
Moss had two hits, with Bailey collecting three. Eli Petersen and Karter Johnson also got two hits each, and Cole Herremans scored three times. Caleb Rice allowed two earned runs on six hits in five innings, striking out seven.
