Young Reeths-Puffer lacrosse roster bursting with promise

Reeths-Puffer coach Josh Robidoux isn't letting last season's 4-14 record or this season's 2-4 start get him down. The Rockets have what he considers a very talented roster, and once it comes together, he expects very positive results.
"We have an awesome roster full of talent that is sure to start gelling here soon," Robidoux said. "Confidence from the guys is still great, but they're working out the kinks of a new offensive system...I expect much bigger numbers from our offense this year."
Many of the top scorers are back this season, with Cohen Beck as the de facto quarterback of the offense. He should get help from senior Blake Kiel, juniors Braeden Monette and Rohan Moyer, and sophomore Hunter Adams. Kiel and Moyer, exclusively midfielders a year ago, move into a more hybrid role of playing both the midfield and attacking positions.
Also for the Rockets, sophomore Gabe Feirick returns as a face-off specialist and offensive attacker. Senior Kaeden Benner is back after playing golf last season and will anchor the defense.
"He brings great leadership to our defensive unit, and understands a lot of our schemes well already," Robidoux said of Benner.
Among the younger set, R-P has high hopes for Garrison Niklasch, who missed 2025 with an injury but is tough to stop when he gets into a groove, Robidoux said. Freshman Jax Sieplinga has a bright future but looks to make an immediate impact on the offensive end. Cal Millis, who like Benner didn't play lacrosse last year, is back on defense, but Rocket football fans will be familiar with his athletic gifts and he'll no doubt bring a positive impact.
R-P is hoping to be a major factor in the O-K Tier 3 Conference race, though they dropped an early league game to Grand Haven. There's still time to turn it around, and the Rockets believe matchups with Holland Christian and Jenison will be instrumental to their run.
"If we can capitalize in these games, we think we can come out on top," Robidoux said. "We're excited."
