Whitehall baseball drops doubleheader to powerhouse North Muskegon

Whitehall lost a doubleheader to Division 3 power program North Muskegon Wednesday, 5-0 and 4-3.
Game one featured a no-hitter from Norsemen ace Logan Slimko, a Dartmouth commit. Slimko walked three Vikings but otherwise kept them off the board. Evan Thomas allowed three earned runs on five hits in five innings, striking out five.
Whitehall (0-4) never led in game two but had a chance to tie the score in the seventh inning after Cody Manzo walked, stole second and third and scored on a passed ball. Thomas then drew a walk and reached second on a wild pitch before Norsemen pitcher Bronson Hurst escaped the jam.
Jakobe Monroe led the Viking offense with two hits, and he also drove in a run.
