The White Lake Area Chamber & Visitor's Bureau reminds locals who want to help the environment, or just spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon cleaning up outside, that the White Lake Trash Bash will take place Sunday, April 26.
The Trash Bash is a community-wide cleanup along area parks, bike trails, shoreline areas, and waterways.
All ages and group sizes are welcome. This event is for the whole family, individuals, duos, and groups.
To participate, meet at the Chamber building at 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to dress accordingly with long-sleeve shirts, sunscreen, gloves, hats, etc. Trash bags will be supplied.
WaterDog Outfitters will offer free bike rentals for those looking to clean up the trails, and free kayak rentals for those looking to clean up the waterways. To rent a kayak, individuals must be prepared for cold water and dressed warmly with dry suits.
