Reeths-Puffer fell to the top-ranked team in the state, Byron
Center, Thursday night, but the Rockets could take plenty of solace in
the 3-1 defeat.
R-P (4-4-1, 1-2-1 O-K Green Conference) was
the first team this season to find the back of the net against the
Bulldogs, who entered the game having shut out seven straight opponents.
Jaslyn Kops was the Rocket to achieve the feat, on an assist from
Ashlyn David. That goal tied it up at 1-1 and it stayed that way for
nearly 15 minutes until Byron Center pulled ahead for good.
