It was a tough day for Reeths-Puffer Monday as the Rockets finished
a distant fifth at the O-K Green Conference midseason meet, hosted by
Byron Center.
R-P's team score of 365 was 42 strokes behind any other team, and 53 behind first-place Caledonia.
“We are struggling as individuals and as a team to find consistency out
there," Rockets' coach Matt Pallett said. "We have guys that are putting decent stretches of golf together
but just not complete rounds yet.”
Kristian Brown led R-P with
an 84. He had a solid 39 on the back nine of the Railside Golf Course
and made a birdie on the 15th hole. Ian Vokal added an 87, including a
birdie of his own. Beckett Mathes shot a 92, and Liam Thomas posted a
102 to round out the scoring.
