Reeths-Puffer shot a team score of 171 Monday at the O-K Green
Conference's Byron Center jamboree, a two-shot improvement over last
year's score, but still settled for fifth place at the meet.
Ian
Vokal was the Rockets' top scorer at the jamboree, shooting a 37 and
finishing in sixth place overall. He scored a birdie in the round and
was only two over par in all, with no holes worse than a bogey.
Kristian
Brown added a 39, and he too made a birdie - via chip-in on the third
hole - and did not have any holes worse than a bogey.
“Ian Vokal and Kristian Brown put solid rounds together tonight," R-P coach Matt Pallett said. "We play
in a tough conference when a 37 and 39 take sixth and eighth place.”
Beckitt Johnson and Carter Hekkema closed out R-P scoring, each shooting a 47.
"We have yet to see four guys have a good round together," Pallett said. "Once that starts
occurring, then we will see ourselves move up in the league standings.”
