The White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau is calling on community members to join the annual Trash Bash, scheduled for April 26 from 1-4 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate.
As part of this year’s cleanup, the Chamber is encouraging participants to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by focusing on keeping the White Lake Area clean for the next 250 years. Show your American spirit by sporting your best red, white, and blue while giving back to the community.
Meet at the Chamber building at 1, when volunteers will be deployed to tackle trash along the north and south sides of the bike trail, area parks, shoreline spots, and nearby waterways.
Participants are advised to wear clothes than can get dirty, as well as gloves and sunscreen. Trash bags will be provided.
WaterDog Outfitters is offering free kayak rentals for volunteers helping clean the waterways (volunteers must be cold-water ready and wear proper dry gear). They are also offering free bike rentals for those helping to clean along the bike trails.
