Reeths-Puffer's strong offensive start to the season continued Thursday as the Rockets routed Zeeland West 14-5 behind another great game from Lainey McDaniel.
R-P's senior hurler had a double and a triple in the game, driving in four runs and scoring three more. Lorelei Herrygers had two hits and scored three times, and Kenzie Jacons and Makayla Jewett each drove in two runs.
McDaniel pitched the game, striking out five and allowing eight hits. The game was called after the top of the fifth inning.
