Whitehall made clutch plays late in Friday's game and was able to
escape Manistee, 56-53, avenging an early-season defeat to the Mariners.
The
Vikings (8-10, 5-4 West Michigan Conference Lakes) used a hefty edge on
the glass and 10-of-13 free throw shooting to eke out the victory.
Corde
Anderson led the way for Whitehall, scoring 15 points and pulling in 12
rebounds, including seven on the offensive end. He blocked three shots
as well.
Evan Thomas added 13 points for the Vikings, and Elijah Smith and Pierce Westerlund had nine each.
