Reeths-Puffer took third place at the Division 2 district meet Friday in Cedar Springs, advancing to the regional meet.
The Rockets scored 729.5 points, only 12 fewer than the district champ Red Hawks. They'll compete in the regional meet at Forest Hills Northern Feb. 28.
R-P delivered its best performance in round two, scoring 210.9 points to lead all competing teams. The Rockets' 299.1-point score in round three ranked fourth, but was more than enough to secure a regional qualification.
