Montague sputtered in the second half and dropped a non-conference contest at Newaygo Tuesday night, 54-27.
The
Wildcats (4-12) were right in the game at halftime, trailing only
20-18. However, the Lions took over in the second half, outscoring
Montague 21-5 in the third quarter and turning it into a runaway.
Marguerite O'Connell had nine points to pace the Wildcats. Ruby Hughes posted 15 points and 10 rebounds for Newaygo.
