Despite an impressive offensive performance by Karter Johnson, Montague lost to Fremont Friday in West Michigan Conference Lakes action, 67-52.
Johnson went for 24 points in the loss, including 11 in the first quarter alone, but the visiting Packers were very effective on offense and did not let the Wildcats (1-18, 1-9 WMC Lakes) get close enough to threaten them.
Mossen Green led Fremont with 20 points.
