Whitehall edged Oakridge in a tight West Michigan Conference Lakes road game Tuesday night, 37-36, behind a great performance from Clare Westerlund.
Westerlund went for 17 points and eight rebounds, as well as four steals, in the win. Emma Decker was also a major factor on the inside, with nine points and eight boards.
"Emma
Decker stepped up to have her best game of the year," Whitehall coach Brian Milliron said. "Clare did well on
both ends tonight."
Whitehall (3-8, 3-3 WMC Lakes) continued its struggles at the free throw line, going 14-of-31, but played strong enough defense to get the win.
