Montague came up short against Ludington in Friday's West Michigan Conference Lakes contest, losing 60-34.
The Wildcats (1-6, 1-4 WMC Lakes) played a very good first quarter against the Orioles, trailing only 18-15 when it was over, but couldn't keep up that offensive pace. The Orioles pulled away later, especially by outscoring Montague 19-3 in the third quarter.
Gentry Knop paced Montague with 15 points, and Annelyse Schneider and Addi Smith combined for 15 more.
