Montague was overwhelmed by a strong Fruitport team Monday night on the road, 75-25.
The
Trojans took command of the game from the opening tip-off, outscoring
Montague (0-13) 24-6 in the first quarter and rolling to the win.
"Fruitport
is a solid, well-coached team that presented many challenges
for us," Montague coach Nick Thaler said. "With them not having a game
in two weeks, they were ready to go. They were flying around and
pressuring defensively, and offensively
they were getting to the rim and making a ton of shots."
Dexter Lillmars led Fruitport with 21 points, and DayDay Williams had 20.
