Reeths-Puffer couldn't keep up with Caledonia Tuesday night in O-K
Green Conference action, dropping a three-game match 25-13, 25-15,
25-11.
The Rockets (18-17, 2-6 O-K Green) had issues reeling in Caledonia's style of serve, which threw off their offense.
"We struggled to pass well," R-P coach Justin Birr said. "We definitely need to find a way to train
hard-driven float serves in practice, and improving in this area will
help us for districts."
Despite R-P's passing issues, Birr
complimented Lexie Danz. A freshman, Danz was a constant target of
Caledonia's servers the first time the two teams matched up, and this
time she was much improved.
"She was one of the best passers on our side," Birr said.
Carlee
Bowen had 10 digs for R-P, and Kate Tindall posted eight assists. Danz
and Makayla Disselkoen each had three kills, and Disselkoen had three
blocks as well.
"Abby Machinski and Makayla Disselkoen have really shown improvement in
the past few weeks," Birr said. "They are attacking with more intensity and with a
higher IQ than the start of the season."
