Whitehall lost its West Michigan Conference Lakes-opening match to
Ludington Tuesday, though the Vikings showed some improvement in pushing
two of the three games beyond the regulation 25 points in a 28-26,
29-27, 25-20 defeat.
Whitehall fell to 0-10 on the season and 0-1 in the WMC Lakes.
The
Viking offense struggled in the match, but some good defensive work
kept them on the Orioles' heels much of the way. Peyton Schultz led the
work on the back end, recording 13 digs. She also had a team-high 14
assists.
Delaney Kramer paced the attacking, notching eight kills. Ryleigh Smith had three aces.
